Resize to the pixels you need

With Keep proportions selected, height follows your chosen width. A 1,600 × 900 image at 800 pixels wide becomes 800 × 450. Turn the option off to set both dimensions. A different ratio stretches or squashes the image rather than cropping it.

Resize, crop or compress?

Resizing changes dimensions. Cropping removes a region. Compression adjusts encoding quality, with optional downscaling. An upload requirement of 400 × 400 pixels may need a square crop first to avoid distortion.

PNG retains transparency and ignores the quality setting. JPG replaces transparency with white and uses lossy encoding. WebP supports transparency and adjustable quality. Inspect the exported preview before replacing the source.

Enlarging creates more pixels but cannot recover absent detail. Input and output must stay within 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per edge; input files are limited to 20 MB. Phone-image dimensions are measured after the browser applies orientation.

Processing and sources

Inputs are processed on your device, without uploading or saving them to browser storage. Reset clears the result; downloaded files remain on your device. Website requests and permitted advertising or measurement are separate. See our privacy policy.
