Left and top specify the rectangle's starting point, measured in pixels from the oriented original's top-left corner. Width and height specify the area to keep. Everything outside that rectangle is excluded from the new image.
Example: a centered square
For a 1,200 × 800 landscape photo, enter left 200, top 0, width 800 and height 800. For any centered square, use the shorter original edge as the square size, then divide the excess on the longer edge by two.
The tool starts with a square at the top-left. Adjust offsets to frame your subject and inspect the result. This version uses numeric controls, not a draggable selection. A rectangle outside the original is rejected. The retained pixels are not resized; use image resizer afterward if needed.
PNG retains transparency, JPG uses white behind transparent pixels and WebP supports adjustable quality. Limits are 20 MB and 24 megapixels. Keep the original because removed edges cannot be recovered from the cropped download.
